Crisis Intervention

Crisis intervention is an approach and attitude. Crisis intervention should lead to establishing symptom of distress, mitigation of symptom, restoration of adaptive level functioning and facilitating access to further support.

Type of crisis :

• Developmental crisis : This occur as an individuals proceed through the adjustments they need to make in the various stages of life.
• Situational crisis : These result from unexpected events such as the sudden death of a loved one, divorce, illness, assaults and disasters.
